Ed leigh
Ed is best known as a host and commentator, but he also has a wealth of less glamorous experience behind the scenes directing and producing.
Most of Ed’s work takes place in challenging environments and overcoming hardship has taught him the immense value of a strong team and the power of leading by example.
He likes to think he’s not precious, but his dietary preferences say otherwise.
Ed believes passionately that good stories told well can change the world for the better.
Sophie Luther
Sophie is a former professional sailor and world-class athlete who swapped the helm for the fast-paced world of event production, communications and broadcast.
With more than 20 years’ experience working on some of the world’s biggest sporting stages — including the Volvo Ocean Race, America’s Cup, European Golf Tour, The Ashes and Formula 1 — she’s also played a major role in shaping iconic events closer to home such as Winter Games NZ, Motatapu, Triathlon NZ and Challenge Wānaka.
As the founder of two events businesses, Sophie has recently delivered standout projects like Natural Selection Bike Aotearoa, DarkHorse Revelstoke (Canada) and the Treble Cone Backcountry Invitational.
Grounded in her love for people and the planet, Sophie’s focus is on creating events that celebrate place, connect communities, inspire sport participation and promote wellbeing, while leaving a lighter footprint.

With 18 years shaping events that move people and places, Janey thrives where growth, technology, and innovation collide.
From grassroots celebrations to major festivals and international sports, she brings structure to the chaos — turning moving parts into moments that work like clockwork (and look effortless doing it).
Known for her calm in the storm and her eye for the bigger picture, she connects teams, tech, and community to deliver seamless experiences on every stage. A champion of sustainability, she builds smarter systems that lighten footprints and strengthen legacies. Janey’s approach blends global scale with community roots — creating events that don’t just impress, but belong.
